2019 was an historic year for The Dung Beatles! The band performed an exclusive show to celebrate fifty years of the Friars Club Aylesbury at The 1200 seat Waterside Theatre, on 26th September, also the date on which The Beatles’ ground breaking album “Abbey Road” was launched fifty years ago! Playing to a packed theatre, joined by their brilliant four piece horn section and the amazing Ruby Lewis singing “Oh Darling!”, the band performed the entire Abbey Road album in the first set, then stunned the audience again in the second set with dazzling renditions of songs from the other classic albums. Secretary of The British Beatles Fan Club Terry Bloxham said “You all were the best I have heard you to date. Congratulations for a spectacular gig!”. David Stopps, the founder of the Friars Club Aylesbury, who was responsible for booking some of the world’s most famous acts including David Bowie (three times), Pink Floyd, Genesis and The Police (to name only a few!) described us as “one of the best Beatles bands…in the world”
